Graid ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered grading assistant for educators. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service at graidapp.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address via Google OAuth. We do not store your Google password.
Assignment & submission data: Answer keys, student submissions (images), extracted questions, rubrics, and grades you create or upload through the service.
Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views and feature usage to improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the grading service
- Process student submissions with AI for grading
- Improve and develop new features
- Communicate with you about your account
4. AI Processing
Uploaded images and answer keys are sent to third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) for analysis and grading. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and do not use your data to train their models.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Images are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with third-party services necessary to operate Graid (cloud hosting, AI providers) and as required by law.
7. Data Retention
You can delete your assignments and associated submissions at any time. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Graid is intended for use by educators. Students may submit work without creating an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the service.
